48219 Area Lotion Bars
Lotion bars are not soap. They take the place of any lotions you would pour or pump or squeeze into your hand and rub on your body after showering or when your skin feels dry.
Simply remove your lotion bar from its tin and rub it on the spots that need moisturizing. The lotion bar is very firm and, once you've rubbed it over dry elbows, over legs, arms, etc., return it to its tin until next time!
I must admit that our lotion bars are put together very well and are made with shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax and avocado oil. Each of these ingredients brings something wonderful to your skin's table. For more information on these fabulous ingredients, see the information at the bottom of this page.

Commercial Soap Companies
When it comes to soap, commercial companies remove glycerin, naturally made through saponification, or the process whereby soap is created through the mixing of oils and salts. Commercial companies remove this valuable glycerin to use in other products such as lotions, food, etc. Many sell it to other companies; some use it themselves, depending on the range of products their company offers. Handmade soap retains its glycerin - a natural humectant that draws moisture to the skin and helps in the production of natural sebum. Commercial soaps dry the skin and wash off much of the sebum that is needed to keep our skin healthy. Their soaps leave a film behind that doesn't allow skin to breathe properly. It's a vicious cycle and not only leaves our skin looking and feeling bad but, quite honestly, can effect our health.
